William Benjamin Assuah is WAFA Logistics and Consultancy Limited’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He has over 30 years of experience in logistics and supply and trade facilitation with Customs Excise and Preventive Services (CEPS), Ghana. Until his voluntary retirement, William was a Senior Revenue Officer at the Tema port.
After his retirement, William was appointed Deputy General Manager in charge of operations at the Inspections and Control Services (ICS), a company contracted by the government to provide support in trade facilitation and enhance customs and tax revenue mobilization. He has been instrumental in establishing a single window system for customs clearing in Ghana.
William Benjamin Assuah holds a first degree in Sociology and political science, from Prince 2 Project Management Foundation UK and a Master of Arts (MA) in International Affairs from the University of Ghana. His fantastic experience in international trade facilitation combined with customs revenue and tax mobilization makes him highly analytical and competent for the job.
